Rough idle Posted at 2010/02/05 21:03
My wife has had nothing but trouble with her PT Cruiser. It took two "5 Star" dealerships and 6 visits to find an axle problem. They kept saying"nothing on the computer". No she has an awful vibration in idle, park or neutral. It feels like a diesel. What can we do or what do you all recommend? Thanks

I had a idle vibration problem that almost went away after the motor mounts were changed. Then I found that when the dealer was looking for the problem they pulled the sparkplugs and reset the gap to there standard which is way to big. I reset the gap to .040 and the idle smoothed out. Hope this helps.
